Jalen Brunson Has One Key Problem In New ‘SNL’ Promo

Winning his first NBA Championship has opened a lot of doors for Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, including to his first hosting stint on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

But there’s one door that’s still giving him problems: the one leading to Studio 8H.

In this week’s show promo, the New York Knicks captain tries the golden key he got to New York City, to no avail. After jiggling it in the lock for a bit, Brunson resorts to a sledge hammer and finally a chainsaw, without success.

Brunson will make his hosting debut on September 26 as the show returns to NBC for its 52nd season. The finals MVP will be joined by Katseye, who are making their debut as musical guests. The band, who just released their new EP Wild, are currently on the Wildworld tour.

Brunson joins the likes of NBA stars Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan and LeBron James on the list of NBA greats who have hosted the long-running late-night show.
